The body came out nicely. The apple wood top is pretty thick - 1/2”. I routed a panel around the f-hole on the back of the top piece to make the top appear thinner. A black binding will hide the seam where the larch and apple come together. The thick top demands a larger than usual binding. Note the wood rot on the left side. I was contemplating how to resolve this. I was tempted to contour the top to get rid of that section, but couldn’t figure out how to work that out with the binding.
