I filled the large missing chuck of wood (top of this picture) with un-dyed epoxy. For the rest of the small gaps on the edges, I tinted the epoxy with a little fountain pen ink. I wound up doing a few applications - the epoxy kept settling into the gaps while setting up, leaving more areas to fill.
