I 3d-printed a template for the f-hole. It was about 1/8” thick piece of plastic (you can see the corner of it in this shot). It wasn’t all that helpful - I wound up detailing the hole with a small router bit going very slowly. I later cleaned up the hole with files and sandpaper. The old, dry apple wood was super easy to work.
