Testing the body layout with the hardware. I was committed to the classic Tele-style bridge and a Bigsby-style trem. I was a bit concerned about getting everything to fit. The back of the body is of larch - a conifer that loses it’s needles in the winter. We have hundreds of tall specimens on the woodlot - and a couple dozen that we harvested. They’ve been seasoning for about ten years. Larch is the hardest conifer, with interesting graining. It has been the goto lumber for all of our guitar builds so far.
